Childrens Lessons

Three to Eight Year Old Art Lessons

Child Art is extremely individual. It is the creative expression of the child's own self. Not only do children's various stages of development differ, but also their individual modes of expression. Children at each age level - unless subjected to interference - produce their own kind of art, and their pictorial expression at each of these levels should be allowed to develop along natural, spontaneous, lines.

Remember, a sound art program should encourage creativity, stimulate language, develop aesthetic skills, enable plenty of experimentation, act as a vehicle for self-expression, reinforce a positive self-concept, aid in the development of physical co-ordination, and give a feeling of joy.
