Play may be either active or passive. A person gains enjoyment from active play simply because of the action he or she is engaged in. While enjoyment derived from passive play occurs as a result of the activities of others, both types of play can give equal pleasure. A child's predisposition towards active or passive play often depends on his parents' attitude towards play in general. There are many values of play, and no matter which form a child's play may take, one or more of these values will be evident:- Physical, Therapeutic, Educational, Creative, Self Insight, Social and Moral. |
